There’s nothing like a fashion story to let us know that summer is just around the corner, and David Roemer does exactly that with his most recent work for Marie Claire US. Styled by Nina Sterghiou and starring Hana Soukopova in a vibrant wardrobe of swimwear and standout accessories, Hot and Heavy has all the perfect ingredients for a beach shoot with pieces Missoni, Christian Dior and Eres.
Liu Wen took the fall 2010 shows by storm during Milan and Paris Fashion Week. In addition to walking for labels such as Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier and Roberto Cavalli, our March Model of the Month closed Givenchy in a sleek black and white look that stole the show. Liu has certainly been a force on the runway during the past couple of seasons, but we wanted to know what she thought about modeling before she entered the industry. “It is quite different from what I imagined,” she explained. “Before I became a professional model, I thought being a model [was] just about dressing up and walking for some meters on the runway. But when I entered this world, I found out that the profession also needs a lot of effort and physical energy.”
