
Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf? It appears that Natalia Vodianova certainly is for American Vogue’s, “Into the Woods”, a “Little Red Riding Hood” inspired story by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The 14 page spread is styled by Grace Coddington and overflowing with crimson and scarlet pieces from Chanel, Moschino and Prada. Fashion and fantasy come together for one marvelous spread!

Vogue’s standards are going up! loving the September editorials from the big US magazines!
Vogue + Natalia = fantasy story (recall Alice in Wonderland?) not that there’s anything wrong with that. I just hope that Vogue will one day do something super crazy for an editorial. with couture pieces.
[...] August 20, 2009 · Leave a Comment First, the elephant of the September Vogue. I found the issue to be, as I’ve come to expect, boring and surface-level. The only element that caught my eye was the editorial featuring the incomparable Natalia Vodianova, “Into the Woods.” Granted, I have a soft spot for fairy tale-themed shoots, but this one is beautifully styled and shot with the natural backdrop and the traditional story line contrasting the sharpness, excess, and delicacy of the clothing.
