The spring 2011 collection from Emilio Pucci brought a sense of rock and roll to Milan Fashion Week with sexy shapes, psychedelic prints and lace-up boots. Under the creative direction of Peter Dundas, the Pucci woman isn’t afraid of showing a little skin or attitude as shown by the plunging necklines and high hems. Accessorized with satchel bags, bandanas and understated jewelry–daring allure seemed to be the overall theme of the show.

Moving away from a dark and heavy autumn, the spring 2011 collection from Max Mara offers a combination of iridescent fabrics accented by bright colors. When not focusing on its lush outerwear, Max Mara also showcases playful color combinations and streamlined silhouettes which range from sleek to minimalist.

Bringing a bold splash of color and print to Milan Fashion Week, Just Cavalli remains youthful, luxe and seductive for the spring 2011 season. Featuring the label’s signature animal prints, the Cavalli brand also brings its unique mix of patterns to the catwalk with fitted separates and relaxed dresses.

Bringing in renewal for the spring, the Bottega Veneta show opened with models sporting damp locks as they donned the label’s baggy yet fitted ensembles. One can’t help but think that the wet hair reinforces the idea of the Bottega woman as an opposing mix of elegant and casual–something that was made abundantly clear by the relaxed silhouettes and styling found on the catwalk this season.
