
Ferragamo’s Tropical Flash – Salvatore Ferragamo creative director Massimiliano Giornetti envisioned a tropical getaway for the label’s spring 2012 collection. With an explosion of animal prints, vivid color and floral patterns, the Ferragamo woman was sleek and sexy for the new season complete with form-fitting silhouettes and movie siren hair. As well as shoulder baring dresses, Giornetti also offered tailored suits, maxi-bags made of Nappa leather, crocodile maxi-clutches, and silk sashes tied around the waist.

Bally’s Swiss Lady – Bally embraces a mix of sportswear and elegant day wear for its spring 2012 collection shown during Milan Fashion Week. Creative directors Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler were inspired by a fusion of classic 60s silhouettes and contemporary prints for the new season. Herz and Fidler also paid respect to Bally’s 160 year tradition of leather craftsmanship with impeccable made dresses, handbags and shoes. Missoni’s Vibrant Spring – Missoni embraced a vibrant color palette for the spring 2012 season with a mix of knits and fringe in delicious hues of cerulean, magenta and coffee. Designer Angela Missoni appeared to be inspired by flamenco dancers for the new season with big dramatic ruffles, traditional Missoni prints and light summer layers complete with hanging tassels.

Dolce’s Sparkling Spring – Dolce & Gabbana offered up a showing of their signature lacework for the label’s spring 2012 collection presented in Milan earlier today. Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana also added floral and fruit prints, crystal embellished bodices and twill suits to their feminine showing in shades of citrus orange, sky blue and leaf green. The Dolce & Gabbana woman went for a mature yet sexy look for the new season with form-fitting silhouettes and mid-drift baring cuts.

Pucci’s Edgy Spring – Emilio Pucci creative director Peter Dundas continued to deliver rock and roll inspired glam for the label’s spring 2012 showing presented in Milan. Widening the silhouette and adding length, the Pucci woman donned sheer skirts and lace embroidered blouses in colorful, 70s inspired prints. The showing also included big ruffles, waist-tied sashes and mid-drift baring tops for a sexy look at the new season.

Just Cavalli’s Showy Spring – Roberto Cavalli’s Just Cavalli line is never one to shy away when it comes to prints, colors and flashiness. Spring 2012 happened to be no exception to the rule with riotous prints ranging from animal to bohemian in nature and oversize, floppy hats reminiscent of that signature Cavalli 70s flair. Gold and silvery metallic pants also made an appearance on the runway as well as fur and fringe.
