Sportmax’s Sexy Spring – The spring 2012 showing from Sportmax delivered a youthful mix of form-fitting silhouettes, slouchy summer outerwear and sharp blazers for the new season. Models walked down the runway with disheveled hair and nude lips which appears to be a popular beauty trend for the new season. Prints came in the form of grungy florals paired up with metallic skirts and cinched waists.

Sander’s Minimal 50s – For spring 2012, Jil Sander designer Raf Simons was inspired by a modern look at the 1950s with an opening featuring a parade of white, clean lined dresses. Simons also brought some color onto the runway with paisley and abstract prints, sheer plaid, gingham and a few spring brights. The new season makes a bridge between the classic and the new with perforated dresses, proportion play and a new spin on the veiled hat.

Bottega’s Elegant Spring – Bottega Veneta continued a tradition of a vivid color palette and elegant silhouettes for its spring 2012 collection presented earlier today in Milan. Creative director Tomas Maier made the new season a story of lines and fluid shapes with impressive draping of silk, chiffon and cotton organza. As for texture, the Bottega Veneta woman wore abstract prints and raised patterns, giving the illusion of depth. Spring’s handbags took on leather, python, ostrich and crocodile treatments, adding to the luxurious showing.
