A Pared Down Mugler – After fall’s high octane showing of stage-worthy looks and snarling models, Thierry Mugler creative director Nicola Formichetti presented a toned down spring 2012 collection composed of more minimal, deconstructed looks. In hues of nude, ivory and metallic, the Mugler woman donned unconventional silhouettes with cut-outs and asymmetrical hemlines paired with lightweight outerwear. Beauty for the show included neon lips, slicked back hair and gold covered eyebrows.

Balenciaga’s Sculpted Spring – Balenciaga’s spring 2012 collection made news with multiple benches collapsing before the show even began leaving editors and other show-goers all standing. Nonetheless, the show went on with creative director Nicolas Ghesquière’s vision for the new season on full display, including his signature play on shapes. Bulky jackets and sculpted dress silhouettes dominated the runway as well as high-waisted shorts. A change from fall’s bold coils, strips and netting, the Balenciaga woman took on metallic panels and abstract prints for spring in a showing of pure modern clothing.

Baby, the Classics Never Fade – Photographer Angelo D’Agostino and stylist Stella Lee team up for a story of classic glamour with FGR’s latest exclusive featuring Erin Fee. Paying homage to decade spanning looks ranging from the 1920s to 1980s, Lee serves up a wardrobe of vintage pieces from the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs and Oscar de la Renta. Erin takes on the twentieth century classics with gusto in dramatic makeup by Beau Nelson and lush curls by Michelle Navar. / Special thanks to Rare Vintage and House of Lavande.
