I agree that he doesn't look like he's performing his best in this shoot.
Unlike some folks here, I do like him I'd say about 3/4 of the stuff he's in- but when he falls flat it's really flat.
The women definitely are the focus of this editorial, no matter whether that was the intent. Is he holding back because he's supposed to be the "victim" here, or did he just perform poorly? Either way, he isn't exactly popping off the page.
I notice poor Baptiste isn't even mentioned in the headline here! (Not to mention Heidi Mount being spelled "Hedi", but at least she's mentioned.)

I see no real discernable difference in the size of their heads in that last pic. Baptiste is a man, and men do tend to be slightly larger than women, but there appears no effort to make him look especially large. His shoulders are wider the the ladies'- but again, he is male.
This big head business is really reaching here. And I ask, how triumphant does he look with his lips slightly parted and not even engaging the viewer, unlike the more truly intense looks of two of the three women? (The third looks like she may have been trying, but…) He does not look like he's won anything in this shoot except the same thing the women have- a job.
Of course it is correct that the women in the shoot are portrayed as predators, but that can be learned from the title…
