Alexander Wang’s adidas Originals collaboration is taking it to the streets. After a surprise finale at the designer’s spring-summer 2017 runway show, brand imaging captured by Juergen Teller has been unveiled. The shoot features three girls from the #WangSquad with models Binx Walton, Lexi Boling and Hanne Gaby Odiele. The designer transformed the classic adidas black tracksuit and footwear for the 84-piece collaboration. Defying convention, Wang even turned adidas’ signature trefoil and ‘originals’ logo upside down.
And although the collection won’t be fully released in stores starting until early 2017, a series of pop up trucks across the globe will feature select merchandise for sale. The unisex collection will include elongated track jackets, sweatshirts, t-shirts all embroidered with adidas’ famous three stripes.
