Akris’ Expressionist Fall – Akris creative director Albert Kriemler was inspired by American Expressionist painter Franz Kline’s artwork for the label’s fall 2012 showing. Autumn embraced a muted palette of black, tan, chocolate and orange hues with relaxed shapes. Wide legged trousers and floor-length dresses dominated the runway, accented by brushstroke style prints. Kriemeler gave the minimal designs a touch of glam with sequin and leather detailing. No doubt, the Akris woman is ready for an autumn of relaxed sophistication in these inspired designs.
