Alana Zimmer by Max Abadian for Flare June 2010

Written by Joanna on Tuesday, May 18th, 2010 | Alana Zimmer, Covers, Editorial, Flare

There’s nothing quite like a day of fun in the sun to get the juices flowing, and it seems that the most recent issue of Flare has the right idea with its surf-filled cover shoot starring Canada’s very own Alana Zimmer. Lensed by Max Abadian and styled by Elizabeth Cabra, the brunette shows off a multi-colored hairdo as she romps around the town in garments from Matthew Williamson, Prada, Proenza Schouler and others.

Raquel's last name is Zimmermann so I don't think so.

I like the styling but the orange eye shadow ruined it for me.

Yeah, having the eyeshadow match the strap on her Ploprof was just weird and not needed

It does feel like a vogue cover, but one of those boring celebrity ones by mario testino.

I wish my parents were Canadian. They seem to pop out soooooo many beautiful models, Daria, Tara, Noot, so many that I never would have guessed were Canadian.

I thought so but they look so much like eachother.

It reminds me a lot of Abbey Lee's Vogue cover/spread. The beach theme, the colour in the hair… it's all very familar. I do adore the fourth and fifth shots though.

Alana has such an exquisite face, I think the eye make-up looks brilliant, really works with the immense colours in the shoot. (I really prefer her with darker hair though.)

Quite a knock off of Vogue Australia’s neon/surf editorial with Abbey Lee! Alana is very beautiful though!
