Just in time for the winter season, Vogue Nippon gives us some new tips when it comes to nail care. Photographed by Eric Maillet, Alexandra Tretter dons a rainbow of colors courtesy of manicurist Elsa Durrens. With hair by Olivier Lebrun and makeup by Yumi Endo, Alexandra wows in the colorful beauty story.

    To be honest, I’m mildly appalled by how blatantly over-retouched Alexandras fingers are in most of these images; especially in the 3rd one of the series… her finger joints are smoother than her face! Totally unrealistic, extremely distracting and quite shocking that this got past the photographer & editor. Otherwise a gorgeous series. Is no-one else bothered by this?

    Steve—I was concentrating on the nail tips—-went back and you’re absolutely right…hands almost look alien-like!!!

    Note: Her eye color almost perfectly matches her nail color—gorgeous!
