i think the spread in its entirety, but i dont feel like the idea is really that fresh…umm..The spin on german war uniforms and erotic soldiers was okay, it reminded me of the recent Alejandro video by lady gaga a little, which was kind of too simiilar to the steven klein spread with lara stone ? I guess too that i just feel like this is the kind of goth pinup girl look to me and the first idea for lingerie is skimpy and a bondage sex look.
So if maybe.. the shoot had less sex, since to me the silent films already had such dark mysterious undertones with the makeup and dress, and more subtle innocent, creative posing i think the concept would come across with an easier consumable image to want to strive for.

I think that none of the commenters have ever to the Crazy Horse in Paris. First this was a story in Interview Mag about the Crazy Horse. Fashion is spreading its wings beyond Vogue Magazine and sexuality is on the move. I presume that Joanna picked up the editorial because it's EVU, posh image sites are expanding their photographic offerings and commentaries, and any nudity is good for SEO and page views. That's her call as an editor.

These are real models with real bodies wearing the real uniforms that they really dance in the most famous Cabaret in the world. I've had the pleasure of seeing it several times in life and the shows are so artful. Ah youth that knows everything and yet . . . . LOL.

Sorry I missed this earlier. As for the Crazy Horse making a more consumable image . . . I think they're doing just great without our advice. The French have an excellent handle on marketing eroticism and especially without American input.
