Actress and social activist Amandla Stenberg graces the redesigned cover of ASOS Magazine’s spring-summer 2016 issue. The British fashion retailer features ‘The Hunger Games’ star in customized denim looks for the playful fashion shoot photographed by Adrian Mesko. Amandla serves up colorful wardrobe inspiration in bomber jackets, rainbow prints and ruffled tops.
In her interview, Amandla opens up about turning 17, being friends with Willow Smith and talks about dealing with internet hate. “I’m lucky,” she says about facing online criticism. “I can talk about the things I care about and the scariest thing that can happen is that someone says something mean to me from their keyboard thousands of miles away. I think conversation is so healthy and important. Ignorance is not, intolerance is not, close-mindedness is not.”
