I never exactly understand what people mean by a nude body being “unnecessary.”  This does not look to me like something done in an awkward (though awkwardness can also be considered beautiful sometimes), lewd, raunchy or exploitative way and really looks more like a study of Anais’ beauty- the beauty of her body, her face and the way she moves.  And she is indeed very, very beautiful.  Oh, and Lachlan is great with this sort of scenario anyways, he handles his subjects brilliantly.

i like this debate about nakedness being unnecessary… i think there are editorials that are about photography, rather than the clothes and there are others that are mostly about fashion and outfits, and of course there are the ones that are about both… to me this one falls into the first category where it just doesn’t matter if she’s naked or not… it’s about how light falls on a surface, it’s about forms and colors, expressions and moods, etc…
no. 7 and 9 are my faves.
