I like the images where she has clothes on better. It’s sexy but not so overt. 

These photos promote sexism in a way, in which she was almost naked and tied up. And did anyone notice her pale skin with the make up in the dark clothing? She almost looks like a vampire.

I’m kind of already sick of the S&M styled editorials and this one in particular isn’t too exciting or inspired.  However, I love Aymeline and the photo before the cut is just beautiful.

To the “sexist” comments: S&M is not inherently misogynistic. Or, at least, for years there’s been a strong feminist counter-argument against the reductive view of all S&M/bondage imagery as degrading. Look up the work of Gayle Rubin (from the ’80s, just to give an idea of how old this debate is) for an intro into pro-S&M/pro-pornography feminism and queer theory. She makes some compelling arguments…

I think it’s interesting to think about those issues when the context of the imagery is a fashion magazine, however, due to the dearth of scholarship done on female representation in fashion media. Someone could probably write a good essay on the use of bondage in fashion editorials, and what that does to perceptions of both women and the actual S&M lifestyle (someone probably already HAS written a good essay on that!)

you can relax, i’m not a peta fanatic or anything remotely close, but that doesn’t arouse feelings of sexiness or fetish, or whatever this misguided editorial is supposed to evoke.

seriously? I love bondage photographs, this was poorly done. From the styling to the model…everything.
