Big Gary P– Gareth Pugh’s designs captivate the fashion world with their futuristic and larger than life shapes. For the inaugural issue of Pony Step, the publication pays tribute to Pugh’s creations with studio portraits by Terry Tsiolis and stylist Simon Robins. With casting by Anita Bitton, an eclectic group including Danielle Zinaich , Gwen Loos, Pauline Van der Cruysse, Melodie Monrose and Ming Xi don the designs with cool confidence.

  1. I do love all of these images. They’re beautiful, esp the last one, but how long can we do black models and the “Angela Davis” hair? * In my best Miranda Priestly voice *… A black model with a bush hairdo? Groundbreaking.

    • It’s Melodie Monrose’s natural hair I think so unless it’s relaxed at the moment there’s not much ‘doing’ to do. It might not be trying to break any grounds. I prefer it over wigs and loads of chemicals (or maybe this is a wig, dunno).
