Burberry Resort 2015—After being named Chief Executive Officer of Burberry, Christopher Bailey continues to have a hand in the designs, and with the label’s resort 2015 collection he found inspiration in the covers of old poetry books found in flea markets. Suitably, many of the outing’s silhouettes are vintage inspired, but the colors are thoroughly modern with unexpected pops of orange, red and gradient patterns. The iconic Burberry trench is nipped at the waist with separates including pencil skirts and sweaters treated by hand-drawn fake book titles like “Rain or Shine”, “The Orchard” or “Winds & Showers” for a charming touch.
