With Calvin Klein Collection’s fall-winter 2016 lineup showing on the final day of New York Fashion Week, creative director Francisco Costa presented a collection that explored the connection between masculine and feminine style. It is a familiar territory for the Brazilian designer, and with autumn, it was done with an elegant finesse.
The first two opening looks paired structured blazers with cleavage baring tops and loose-fitting trousers. Plaid is the print of the season, in black, white and blue variations. Costa also added touches of (faux) fur to the Calvin Klein woman’s wardrobe—from adorned collars and coats with digital prints effecting skunk, lynx and coyote. The outerwear is worn over slinky dresses and paired with ankle strap heels or flat oxfords.
