The iconic Converse Chuck Taylor style is getting an update for the first time in nearly 100 years with the Chuck Taylor II. Out on Tuesday, July 28, the new design is described as being more comfortable than its predecessor. The official press release describes the addition of a Lunarion Sockliner for more cushioning and support, soft Micro-Suede lining and a padded non-slip tongue for comfort around the ankle and instep. Priced between $70 and $75, the dollar amount has gone up $15 more than the originals, but we bet that won’t stop sneakerheads from buying a pair on launch day.
