The Dior design team led by Serge Ruffieux and Lucie Meier showcased their first main-season collection for fall-winter 2016 at Paris Fashion Week. After Raf Simons’ departure from the brand in October, the haute couture and this collection have made use of Simons’ signature silhouettes. A riff on the bar jacket here, a peplum waist there or an elegant off the shoulder style prevailed.

Still, one can not help but wonder who is next in line for the Dior creative director job. Names including Alber Elbaz (formerly of Lanvin) and McQueen’s Sarah Burton have been running through the rumor mill. In the meantime though, the fall collection is a nice transition until a new designer is placed.
