Elie Saab took on rock and roll glam for his fall-winter 2016 collection presented during day 5 of Paris Fashion Week. For the past several seasons, the Lebanese designer has been moving in a more youthful and attitude-filled direction. There were bomber jackets in the spring, Coachella style boots in pre-fall, and now leather jackets as worn by Sara Sampaio for fall’s opening look.

This new direction does not come without the usual Elie Saab glamour though. Underneath fringe vests and boxy jackets, there is tiered lace, ruffles and floral embroideries. For evening wear, the Saab woman turned up the sex appeal. A red open shoulder gown modeled by Magdalena Frackowiack would be right at home on a Grammy’s red carpet as would Kendall Jenner’s strapless, embellished gown with leather and beading.
