Gisele to Present World Cup Trophy–Brazilian bombshell Gisele Bundchen has been chosen to hang out the World Cup trophy (which we learned Louis Vuitton designed the trophy case for). Bundchen, who is one of Brazil’s most famous supermodels, was chosen by FIFA to stand-in for Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff, reports Yahoo! Sports. Typically, the trophy is presented by the head of state of the host country. However, the Boston Globe reports that FIFA was concerned with further backlash from locals due to government’s expenditure of $11 billion in public funds to finance the event. FIFA is banking on Bundchen to mitigate the negativity surrounding the event. If anyone is able to get alleviate some of the negativity associated with games, we’re banking on Gisele. The event, which will take place at Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, will also feature musical performances by Avicii, Carlos Santana and Wyclef.
