Gaultier’s Show of Skin – For spring 2012, it was clear that Jean Paul Gaultier had tattoos on the brain with models walking the runway in tattoo-mimicking stockings and prints. Dramatic piercings on the face and ears also brought a sense of edginess to the French designer’s classic silhouettes and sharp tailoring. Adding pops of chartreuse, sky blue and citrus orange to a cool palette, the Gaultier woman donned a cinched waist, slouchy tops and sheer fabrics for the new season.
