The Sweet Life – Karolina Kurkova wears a sparkling Dolce & Gabbana bustier for the June cover of Vogue Mexico, shot by Mariano Vivanco. This isn’t Karolina’s first time wearing Dolce on a cover though. The Czech stunner also graced the April issue of Vogue Turkey in a bejeweled piece from the label’s spring collection (photo here).

The Armani Way – Designer Giorgio Armani is profiled in the latest issue of WSJ Magazine as the publication takes an intimate look at his life with a piece one year in the making. One of the biggest names in fashion, Armani has built a multi-billion dollar corporation consisting of fashion labels, beauty brands, home interiors and even hotels. He may not be a critical darling as the article states, but he certainly one of the most successful designers today. We pulled out some of the feature’s most interesting quotes, but you can read the entire piece on WSJ.com.
“Fashion makes no sense, he says, unless it serves the primary purpose of dressing people. Take for instance, a winter collection made of organza because organza is trendy. ‘Well that’s absurd, because in winter it’s cold and you can’t go around naked.’”
“Armani sees his business eventually in the hands of this group he calls I Fedeli, or the faithful.” (it’s a group that consists of family members and close confidants). Still, he says: ‘As long as I’m here, I’m the boss.’

Versace First – Versace starts off the fall campaign season with a bang, showcasing a gothic chic series of advertisements starring Dutch new face Elza Luijendijk who enters the ranks of previous faces including Gisele Bundchen, Abbey Lee Kershaw and Saskia de Brauw. Once again lensed by photography duo Mert & Marcus, the Italian fashion house chooses male models Philipp Schmidt, Dmitriy Tanner and Kacey Carrig (unpictured) for its menswear campaign. Joe McKenna styled Elza while David Bradshaw outfitted the men in London. The gothic theme works well with the autumn’s collection religious iconography and dark color palette. (WWD & RCFA)

Prada Beauty – Following up her recent Vogue Australia cover, Daria Werbowy turns up the heat while gracing the July issue of Vogue Japan. The Canadian beauty wears a mid-drift baring top and pink skirt with rose detailing from Prada’s spring 2012 collection for a sexy yet elegant summer look.

Some Like it Haute – Following up the cover, we present the June cover shoot of Harper’s Bazaar Singapore starring the always gorgeous Liu Wen. Shot in Shanghai by Gan, the Chinese beauty wears a wardrobe of all Dior Haute Couture styled by Kenneth Goh, celebrating the voyage of couture going from Paris to China. Flawless hair and makeup by Greg O perfect Liu’s ultra-glam ensembles.
