Pierre Girl – The fall 2012 collection from Balmain’s offshoot line, Pierre Balmain, offers up a youthfully rebellious look at the new season with light layering and body conscious designs. Model Melissa Stasiuk sports Balmain staples such as the skinny pant, leather jacket and short skirt in the ethereal images. The new collection also has an accompanying film inspired by French and Italian films of the sixties. In the film, Melissa stars alongside male model Adrien Sahores as the two flirt with desire.

Balmain’s Bejeweled Fall – Marking his second season as creative director of Balmain, French designer Olivier Rousteing look towards Fabergé eggs gave to Elizabeth Taylor as inspiration for the label’s fall 2012 collection. Balmain’s signature military inspired jackets took an elegant turn in the form of pearl and gem adorned skin-tight dresses, outerwear and velvet pants. Strong shoulders brought an androgynous edge to the ultra-sexy silhouettes in neutral hues of black, nude and mint green. Despite the classic reference, Rousteing still kept Balmain’s modern edge for the upcoming autumn with razor sharp precision.

Balmain Flair – After months of waiting, we finally have a full look at the highly anticipated Pierre Balmain spring 2012 collection. Tapping Snejana Onopka to model the hip and youthful wear, the debut line has all the trappings of Balmain’s well-known rock and roll aesthetic including form-fitting pants, cool prints, leather jackets and tailored blazers at more affordable prices starting at €120. The apparel hits stores and online retailers starting this December. And make sure to see the video campaign starring Abbey Lee Kershaw and her band Our Mountain under the cut.

Balmain’s Western Spring – With a new creative director, Balmain did not lose its rock and roll edge for the spring 2012 season under Olivier Rousteing’s western inspired vision. Skinny jeans, embroidered blazers and leggy hemlines dominated the runway with metallic and crystal accents in full force. Of course, no western inspired look is completed without fringe, sweeping skirts and chunky buckles.
