On the Frontier – DSquared2 went back to the pioneer days with its fall 2011 collection and its campaign also embraces the gritty side of things with models Saskia de Brauw and Emily Baker looking cool and rugged. Photographed by Mert & Marcus, the duo shines in the black and white images.

The old west serves as inspiration for DSquared2′s fall 2011 presentation with flannel, denim and lace-up boots taking over the runway. Adding to the pioneering effect, models were sprinkled with snow as they took the catwalk in floppy hats, fringe and leather gloves.

DSquared2 looses the flash and sex for the spring 2011 campaign season and replaces it with understated elegance lensed by Mert & Marcus. Starring Hailey Clauson, Crystal Renn, Fei Fei Sun, Anna Jagodzinska and Monica Sawicka, the advertisements go for sleek glamour playing on the show’s menswear influence.

DSquared2 goes geek for its spring 2011 collection, showcasing looks with round oversize glasses and pairing boat shoes with ankle socks. In addition to the quirky outing, designers Dan and Dean Caten included a dose of elegance with floor length gowns and menswear inspired tuxedos to close the show.

DSquared2′s fall 2010 campaign goes the artistic route with it’s models being put on display in a musuem-like setting. Starring Iris Strubegger, Chanel Iman and Alla Kostromicheva captured by Mert & Marcus, the images give a slight edge to Canadian designers’ flamboyant pieces.
