Black on Black – Gareth Pugh delivered his signature gothic style for his namesake label’s fall 2012 collection presented during Paris Fashion Week. Pugh ditched last season’s bondage inspired shapes for more tribal designs complete with fringe dresses, leather outerwear and fur embellishments. High necklines, some of which that even cover the face, were matched with thin headbands, clunky boots and winged shoulders in all black and grey for the new season. Whether donning zipped up capes or shaggy coats, the Pugh woman knows how to bundle up for the upcoming winter.

Pugh’s Spring Stripes – Not one to follow trends, designer Gareth Pugh debuted a sci-fi inspired spring 2012 collection with structured creations that looked more like armor than clothing. Using a strict color palette of black and white, models walked the runway in contrasting stripes and unisex outerwear which juxtaposed hard and soft elements with a perfect edge.

Gareth Pugh’s fall 2011 collection was unmistakeably Pugh–having black dramatic shapes with a razor sharp edge, severe styling on the models and sci-fi undertones. Interestingly enough, there was also the shocking edition of electric blue and gold paneling for a more colorful adventure than seasons past.
