Mendel’s Glam Fall – For fall 2012, J. Mendel offered slinky gowns, lush fur coats and tweed dresses for the new season. Grounded in ash, black, ivory, champagne and amethyst hues–autumn had a romantic levity despite the dark color palette. Designer Giles Mendel also offered shorter hemlines with flirty, above the knee skirts matched with furry vests. For the finale, model Kati Nescher closed the show in a completely sheer number adorned with patchwork-like patterns.

Mendel’s Sensual Spring – J. Mendel’s spring 2012 collection alternated between patchwork style prints and sleek silhouettes that accent the female figure. Taking on this season’s trend of sheer, lightweight dresses, designer Giles Mendel used vertical stripes paired with color blocking for a sexy yet sophisticated look. For beauty, the Mendel woman donned wavy side-swept locks and sun-kissed skin.

After an ethereal spring outing, J. Mendel finds its footing in gothic and romantic designs for fall 2011. Playing with furs, sequins, and overlapping patterns, the collection is luxurious yet contemporary with low cuts in the back and front of relaxed silhouettes.

Setting the tone for the new season, J. Mendel’s show opened with a short and flirty number worn by Kasia Struss. The theme kept on reoccurring on the catwalk with the addition of floor length gowns, lush jackets and Grecian draping. The glamorous vibe continued with the models’ fly away hair and red lips.
