  1. that haircut used to suit her so well back in the old days, I remember clearly some striking campaigns (for Ferre or Chloe? maybe..) it was with that cut.
The W image with the Black bowler hat is the only one where her face looks expressive and natural. The others have that frozen BTX look I can not get used to, sorry it is true:(

  2. So Florence, what does Linda have to do?  Cry and laugh in every photo?  She does all that, but just not in this particular editorial.  She has plenty of movement.  In the same interview where she confessed that she used it, she also mentioned that she keeps plenty of movement.  But people will choose to read and remember what they want to remember.  The face she’s giving here is what was asked of her.  And what was asked of her here is completely different from what was asked of her (for example) in this month’s Vanity Fair editorial.  The photographer and editor choose the final shots for the editorial.   Linda’s a victim of her own honesty.  Haters and other jealous model fans (those who say her face doesn’t move, I suspect are really saying that their favorite model should have had been placed in this editorial instead of Linda).   Many models use it, and many people use it, as young as 30 years old, for better or for worse.  But Linda gets punished for it because she is simply too honest.  And where is all the fairness in the criticism?  Why not criticize someone like Kate Moss, who is extremely photoshopped in every single editorial and ad campaign?  Not to mention that she gives the same face in practically every single photo that is taken of her.  And that’s OK, because it’s really about drawing attention to the clothes, not the model herself, unless the editor wants the model to be more expressive.
