Liu Wen took the fall 2010 shows by storm during Milan and Paris Fashion Week. In addition to walking for labels such as Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier and Roberto Cavalli, our March Model of the Month closed Givenchy in a sleek black and white look that stole the show. Liu has certainly been a force on the runway during the past couple of seasons, but we wanted to know what she thought about modeling before she entered the industry. “It is quite different from what I imagined,” she explained. “Before I became a professional model, I thought being a model [was] just about dressing up and walking for some meters on the runway. But when I entered this world, I found out that the profession also needs a lot of effort and physical energy.”

The month of March marks the continuation of our Model of the Month series. And what better model to choose than Liu Wen (d’management group)? The Chinese top model is no novice when it comes to the runway or print. Her appearances in publications such as i-D and Vogue China paired with a recent CK campaign keep her a regular staple on Fashion Gone Rogue. Over the next month, expect to learn a little more about this unique face through images and interviews.

As January comes to end, it’s time to say goodbye to our first Model of the Month, Tiiu Kuik. And what better way to say farewell than to see what Tiiu did last…
Last person you hugged…
Eric, when I was picking up my dog after traveling.
Last movie you watched…
Inglorious Basterds. Finally saw it and it was AMAZING!
