Ferretti’s Seductive Glamour – Alberta Ferretti’s fall 2012 collection followed in the vein of spring with seductive silhouettes featuring peekaboo cut-outs. Ferretti offered some new elements though, showcasing tailored suiting and outerwear with a masculine overtone which contrasted with her signature gowns. A color palette steeped in black, deep purple, royal blue and crimson red dominated the new season. A touch of glittering sequins and woven leather brought a new twist to classic silhouettes. The show closed with an ethereal white gown worn by model Marte Mei Van Haaster which stuck a balance between soft and hard elements perfectly.

Gaultier’s Ode to Amy – Walking to his own beat, Jean Paul Gaultier did not present an array of gowns for his spring 2012 haute couture show, but instead offered an ode to late singer Amy Winehouse with a collection of tailored jackets, form-fitting skirts and bustiers. Models wore Winehouse’s signature beehive and had cigarettes in hand as they strutted down the runway with the singer’s tunes playing in the background. The color palette was a somber black with splashes of citrus and lime to reveal lacy undergarments, silk dresses and belted waists.

Photographed by Giampaolo Sgura in Southern Italy, the images are all about family with a lively depiction of weekend activities. Wearing Dolce’s kitschy prints, lace detailing and sultry shapes, Monica and Bianca live it up in the picturesque setting.

Dolce Gems – Bianca Balti fronts the latest campaign for Dolce & Gabbana’s jewelry collection. Photographed by Giampaolo Sgura, the images are pure Italian as they capture Bianca getting ready in lingerie inspired looks and crafted jewerly featuring tri-color gold, rubies, sapphires and pearls. The brunette beauty is a stunning vision with mussed locks by hair stylist Davide Diodovich and cat eyes by makeup artist Andrea Costa.
