Valentino’s Demure Couture – Valentino under designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Picciol has found its own voice throughout the years and spring 2012 haute couture is no exception with a collection of demure romanticism. This season showcased florals, lace, and crystal embellished bodices, all made with the utmost attention to detail. Like many shows this haute couture season, the color palette was light–showcasing silvers, powdery blue and rosy pink for a feminine touch.

The Sisterhood – Raf Simons draws inspiration from elite college life with Jil Sander’s pre-fall 2012 collection. Photographer Ben Weller captures models Katie Fogarty, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Karolina Mrozkova, Tilda Lindstam, Katya Konstantinova, Janice Seinen Alida and others in a common room setting where they study, play card games and chat. The collection has all the trappings of an ivy league wardrobe–cardigans, monogrammed sweaters, tweed skirts and lush coats all conjure up images of academic elegance for the new season.

Kors Goes West – For the pre-fall season, Michael Kors looked towards the old west for inspiration with sweeping skirts, plaid patterns and leather outerwear. Despite the classic influence, the new collection has an ultra-modern touch in the form of streamlined silhouettes and graphic prints. A hint of romance also appears with ruffled skirts, lace detailing and cinched waists. Accessories include satchel bags, cowboy hats and oversize belts.

Autumn in the City – Cover girl Hanne Gaby Odiele takes to the city streets for Harper’s Bazaar Korea’s October edition lensed by Dean Isidro (Atelier Management). Relaxed stylings by Sekyung Cho capture this season’s trends of the seventies inspired trench coat, form-fitting dresses and camel hues. / Hair by Deycke Heidorn, Makeup by Devra Kinery @ Art Department

Modern Groove – Hanne Gaby Odiele gets into the seventies groove for the November issue of Numéro Tokyo. With a wardrobe of loose-fitting garments paired with gold accents styled by Felipe Mendes, Hanne is the very picture of street style in KT Auleta’s colorful images. Side-swept hair by Bok Hee and charcoal eyes by Kaoru Okubo, perfect the new retro look.

A Matter of Shoes – Bi-annual fashion publication Antidote dedicates its second issue to none other than shoes! Photographed by Giampaolo Sgura and styled by editor-in-chief Yann Weber, six top models including Anne Vyalitsyna, Magdalena Frackowiak, Constance Jablonski, Sigrid Agren, Ashley Smith & Hanne Gaby Odiele take on sexy heels from the likes of Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior.
