Fall Royalty - Photographers Luciana Val & Franco Musso capture Guinevere van Seenus in this regal selection from Chanel’s pre-fall collection for the latest Bergdorf Goodman catalogue. In an undone updo, Guinevere looks like a queen in these lush ensembles featuring tweed and velvet with Byzantine inspired details, including embroidered jewels and hair accessories.

Luciana Val and Franco Musso take inspiration from old Hollywood films for their most recent work in April’s Numéro. The photography duo captures model Rasa Zukauskaite on the set as she dazzles in 1960s inspired looks styled by Capucine Safyurtlu.

There is no doubt that Val & Musso’s “Cabaña” is a visual spectacle. The different patterns and textures draw the viewer’s eye in almost immediately. Yet, I somehow find myself appreciating the black and white photos more. Without the overpowering background colors it’s easier to focus on the clothing. And isn’t that what fashion photography is about after all?
