See by Chloe’s Urban Flair – Chloe’s offshoot line, See by Chloe, has a youthful vibe for the label’s fall 2012 presentation. Autumn offers a daring take on classic Chloe staples with short hemlines, breezy fabrics and urban appeal. A vibrant color palette of olive-green, light grey, scarlet, taupe and white tells a story of elegant nonchalance. Outerwear comes in oversized shapes and cool textures matched with leather sleeves. The clothing gets a perfect finish with pointy boots of leather or suede and clutch purses as accessories.

Tisci Couture – Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci created a dark outing for the label’s spring 2012 haute couture show. Models including Natasha Poly, Kristen McMenamy and Saskia de Brauw wore oversize bullrings and earrings which also made an appearance in Givenchy’s menswear show earlier this month. These unusual accessories bring a certain harshness to the ten couture looks made of crocodile scales, leather and hand beaded crystals. Despite the change from last season’s ethereal gowns of ivory, Tisci managed to create an enchanting collection that was a cross between punk rocker and turn of the century glamour girl.

Givenchy’s spring 2011 couture showing gives way to another presentation this season with ten looks by designer Riccardo Tisci. Unique to the showing was a cast of all Asian models including Shu Pei, Ming Xi, Tao Okamoto, Hye Rim Park, Fei Fei Sun, Liu Wen, Jiang Xiao Yi, Ai Tominaga, So Young Kang and Du Juan. Perhaps the casting can be attributed the Eastern influence of the collection found in the delicate folds, structured shapes and warrior like headpieces inspired by Japanese artwork.
