British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley stars and guest-edits a supplement in Harper’s Bazaar’s May issue called harper. In the feature, Rosie poses poolside in a mix of swimsuits as well as nautical looks. In her interview, she opens up about the truth behind modeling, living in Los Angeles and more.

Rosie on modeling:
“The only rule I have with anyone who works with me is that they have to have a positive, upbeat, no-nonsense attitude. I like to surround myself with people who are bright, hardworking, and talk no BS! Most shoots I’m working with people I’ve known for years, so it’s always good energy. To be a successful model, you have to be a team player and a trooper. Your reputation is everything in the entertainment industry, and everyone talks. I love this saying, “It takes a lifetime to build a reputation and a single act to destroy it.” You’re lucky if you get an opportunity, and if you do you’ve got to make the best out of it. You’ve got to show up and work hard.”
