Sasha Pivovarova's 'Moroccan Holiday'

Steven Meisel takes on another grand theme for the most recent Vogue Italia, with “Moroccan Holiday”.

I do not understand the purpose of the studio shots juxtaposed with the location shots. They are not integrated well and take focus away from what would otherwise be amazing photographs. I like these, but they could have been better. There are so many things you can do with such a theme, and I think these are a little too safe.
