Versace First – Versace starts off the fall campaign season with a bang, showcasing a gothic chic series of advertisements starring Dutch new face Elza Luijendijk who enters the ranks of previous faces including Gisele Bundchen, Abbey Lee Kershaw and Saskia de Brauw. Once again lensed by photography duo Mert & Marcus, the Italian fashion house chooses male models Philipp Schmidt, Dmitriy Tanner and Kacey Carrig (unpictured) for its menswear campaign. Joe McKenna styled Elza while David Bradshaw outfitted the men in London. The gothic theme works well with the autumn’s collection religious iconography and dark color palette. (WWD & RCFA)

Cruise Pastel – After taking a look at the runway show earlier, we focus on Chanel’s press kit images lensed by creative director Karl Lagerfeld for the label’s cruise 2013 collection. The photographs star British model Cara Delevingne styled as a cross between punk rocker and eighteenth century French royalty. Pretty pastel bobs matched with bow-tied ponytails are in for the season as well as platform sneakers and large, unapologetic ruffles.

Chanel’s Punk Marie Antoinette – For Chanel’s cruise 2013 collection, designer Karl Lagerfeld offered a mash-up of eighteenth century French aristocracy and modern punk style. Models wore Easter egg dyed bobs and ruffled skirts in the show’s opulent setting of the Château de Versailles which featured three fountains, sixty-six models and sixteen tents. Despite the elaborate setting, the overall tone of the clothes were lighthearted with an outing of voluminous skirts, modified creepers and cotton-candy colored detailing. For accessories, Lagerfeld showcased fingerless gloves, oversize sun hats and embroidered bags for a royal twist to the youthful ensembles.
