The March editions are bringing on the spring couture stories, and there are none more experimental perhaps than Paolo Roversi’s moody contribution to Vogue Italia March. Starring Stella Tennant styled by Edward Enninful, the immaculate designs of Chanel, Dior, and Givenchy haute couture get a new perspective with It’s All About Couture.

    So many of these pictures would be stunning if they hadn’t been shot so weirdly/out of focus, etc. But then again, this is why I have never liked Roversi’s work.

      The weird shooting is what makes Roversi work so special and what I like about it, because I get really bored with the normal shootings. I really like this editorial for its weirdness.

      I almost get the impression they are shot in fun house mirrors. It’s a bit of a fun carnival feeling with the clothing and some of the hair.
      I don’t think anyone who really knows photography would say that Roversi’s images are low quality. A polaroid pioneer like him, a
      photographer who embraced the technique of painting with light? No I don’t think that would be a fair assessment at all.

    Any time anyone ever does anything outside of the standard in fashion everyone always has a strong opinion. What does that say about fashion? that really deep down we just like what everyone else does? that the median is the definitive statement of fashion at any given time ?

      Couldn’t agree more – it’s something different I can admit that, but they’re ‘over-warped’. There are a few that look kind of artistic, but the cover literally looks like something has gone wrong when scanning.

    For some reason she just turns me off. She makes me uncomfortable… she always has. Idk i just dont have a good feeling when i look at her. I love Paolo I just dont like this :(
