Valentino is yet another brand to find inspiration from Cuba for its resort 2017 collection. Fresh off of Chanel’s Havana-held runway show, designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli paid homage to the country’s rich heritage with an eclectic outing featuring 1950’s inspired silhouettes, African beading, tropical flowers, Spanish influences as well as military-style jackets. The house’s signature red color takes the spotlight with embroidered coats, lace skirts and draped silhouettes. The Valentino woman gets a little casual with knit sweaters, frayed denim and crisp white shirting.
