This kind of nudity is a non-issue. The real issue is this: the photography commands and expects a kind of worship, and that ought to be rejected.
Fascination, attraction, and even lust, ought to be inspired not commanded.

My goodness you are absolutely right! Exactly right…. I most certainly don’t have a problem with nudity, yet I couldn’t work out quite what it was about this spread that I didn’t like, yet I don’t like it at all. There is nothing inspiring about it. Very 2 dimensional. And to expect and command worship like that, it’s a bit of an insult to the viewer.

Vogue has just as much nudity for over 50 years, lol . its just done differently. not so plastic…daria looks like she just woke up from some great sex, smoking a cig. That alone may not be artful, but modeling to me is more than just looking sexy and beautiful. She makes it look artistic. almost all famous “elegant” sculptures and paintings are in the nude. Daria is only bringing it to life. Her bone structure alone and long lean body makes it instantly classy vs. trashy. Its not like she has some silicone,bleached hair,blow up doll face…she is pure elegance. Similar to Christy Turlington and Linda Evengelista. They did nude shoots and never looked cheap. ever.

I did two shoot submissions within a day of each other for S Magazine (the success of which is one of the sources for all this newfound and repetitive obsession with nudity in fashion) one with a guy and one with a girl The guy one went great, and looked brilliant, the girl one I never even sent. I ended up feeling gross about it, in the end it really was about staring at her naked (beautiful) tits and (gorgeous) butt. And in the end I think the model felt gross about it too (although she did approach me to shoot a lookbook for a range she was designing so she didn’t hate me… or maybe she thought I owed her!) – it was as simple as me not being gay which meant I knew I was shooting the guy for all the right reasons and was focused whereas with the girl I was looking to try something different and make her look gorgeous but it was all confusing and awkward. With the guy the result was artistic and with the girl it was pervy. There is a line with these things that is easy to cross and I think that is what creeps some people out. Mario Sorentti has a lot to answer for.

perfection! just love her type of beauty. she has some amazing bone structure and one amazing body! its pure artwork and tasteful nudity! not sleazy. she is nude yet more classier and elegant looking than any VS model in full lingerie. it isn’t. There is no fashion ‘story’, it is a calendar. Expensive, sure, like a gorgeous escort, but thats it. I mean she is much more beautiful than anybody in playboy and this is lit better and retouched better (I don’t intend that meanly).

I think the only really really good image is the last one and it is very good. Otherwise it’s the same shot repeated 5 times and so on. She looks brilliant of course.
