Earlier this month, the internet was abuzz with the speculation that Kendall Jenner could become the next Victoria’s Secret Angel. It’s a coveted spot that has launched many supermodel careers (think of Gisele and Miranda). As the lineup currently stands: Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel, Karlie Kloss, Doutzen Kroes, Lily Aldridge and Lindsay Ellingson are all listed as Angels. But who will be the next Angel added to the roster? We take a guess below.
Toni Garrn
Why it Could Happen: She has modeled for Victoria’s Secret since 2011, and there were even rumors of her becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2012. With Toni dating Leonardo DiCaprio, she already has a raised profile.
Elsa Hosk
Why It Could Happen: The Swedish babe has graduated from doing campaigns for Victoria’s Secret PINK to mainline shoots, and has walked the annual fashion show from 2011 to 2013. She was also recently featured in a Vogue UK spread with other Victoria’s Secret models including Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel.
Lais Ribeiro
Why It Could Happen: She has starred in multiple television commercials for the brand, and also appeared in a Vogue UK feature with Doutzen Kroes and Adriana Lima. Lais walked for Victoria’s Secret in 2010, 2011 and 2013, only skipping 2012 due to an injury. Perhaps, the brand wants another Brazilian in its lineup as well.
Kendall Jenner
Why It Could Happen: Internet gossip points to it and she appeared in Victoria’s Secret photographer Russell James’ “Angels” book. Her name also generates tons of buzz no matter what she does. However, she has yet to walk a VS Fashion Show so it does not seem likely. But crazier things have happened.
Martha Hunt
Why It Could Happen: The American model may have only walked her first show in 2013, but she has appeared in multiple Victoria’s Secret television commercials and most recently starred in the Fearless fragrance advertisement. Could the lingerie brand be looking for another American model in its Angel roster?
for a while it looked like barbara palvin was a possibility since she was on the cover of the catalogue last year but since she didn’t do the show last year, maybe it won’t happen :/
You forgot Magdalena. Although for me, the best thing is to add Jourdan Dunn and Joan Smalls to the roster as they have a lack of Black models ever since Chanel left.
