Charlize Theron Embraces Minimal Styles for Harper’s Bazaar US

She poses in the fall collections that Stella Greenspan styled in the accompanying images. Knit sweaters, trench coats, and denim pieces make up most of Charlize Theron’s wardrobe for the photo shoot. The blonde displays fashionable garments from prestigious labels such as Loewe, Alaia, The Row, and Prada. You can also see her pose for Dior’s J’adore Parfum d’eau campaign.

Charlize on feeling powerless as a young woman in Hollywood:
 “Having absolutely no control over what you’re wearing is a big one that really f***ing annoyed me for years. Having some guy make you have a fitting almost in front of them—stuff like that, it’s really belittling,” Theron explains. “When I started, there was no conversation around it. It was like, ‘This is what you’re wearing.’ And I remember one movie in particular, this male director who just kept bringing me in, fitting after fitting after fitting after… And it was just so obvious that it was to do with my sexuality and how f****able they could make me in the movie. And when I started out, that was just kind of the norm.”

To complete her look, Orlando Pita works on Charlize Theron’s sleek tresses, Sally Branka does her makeup, and Tom Bachik does her manicure. On October 4th, the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar US will be available at newsstands. In an interview, Charlize Theron discusses what it’s like to be a woman working in Hollywood, as well as her upcoming movie and her role as a producer.

Charlize on her immersive style when it comes to producing: 
“It is so all-consuming,” she says. “There are moments with my children where, yeah, I sit in the car and they’re in the back and I’m pulled over because I don’t want to lose a call. But I love it. I don’t think I could do it if I didn’t love it.”
