Stella McCartney created “understated seduction” for her spring 2014 collection. Relaxed shapes, embroidered lingerie-inspired dresses and sporty separates all defined the new season. Floral prints bring a slightly romantic vibe to McCartney’s spring. Top models Miranda Kerr and Cara Delevingne were tapped for the runway show.
Swinging sixties was the theme of designer Veronique Branquinho’s spring collection with an outing of mod inspired cuts and graphic color-blocking. Even the models’ matching bobs had a sixties attitude.
Hedi Slimane offered an eighties inspired outing of rocker chic attire for Saint Laurent’s spring collection. Square shoulders, skinny pants and the classic Le Smoking Jacket all made an appearance in the ultra-cool outing.
Fausto Puglisi of Emanuel Ungaro offered bold prints and patterns in an outing that mixed masculine and feminine pieces such as floating skirts paired with button-up tops.
Elie Saab was inspired by a garden theme for his namesake label’s spring collection, delivering an outing of romantic lace and garden-inspired floral prints and a natural color palette.
Sacai’s Chitose Abe offered a sporty vision for the spring season, playing up proportion in sixties-inspired couture shapes. Feminine moments also had a stronghold for the new collection.
For Giambattista Valli, spring was all about lightness. The airy looks had a perfect summer look with romantic details like embroidered corn-stalk patterns, 3-D florals and lace.
