The Terry Richardson controversy continues as over the weekend, news broke that a model by the name of Emma Appleton posted screen caps of an alleged conversation where Richardson reportedly offered the model a chance to be in Vogue in exchange for sex. You may remember that last month, the American photographer released a statement after all the sexual misconduct allegations defending himself and calling it “sloppy journalism”.

As for their part, the communications director for Vogue US revealed to The Wrap that, “The last assignment Terry Richardson had for U.S. Vogue appeared in the July 2010 issue and we have no plans to work with him in the future.” This is also after H&M released a similar statement in 2013 on its Twitter account. However, Richardson continues to deny the allegations. His spokesperson even told E! News that, “Mr. Richardson has retained online forensic expert Theo Yedinsky to determine the actual origin of the fake posting.”

EDIT 4/27: The message was confirmed to be fake by Facebook. According to Page Six, the profile has been removed by Facebook and was created by “some random Gmail account”.

  1. Good. I wish other magazines and companies would follow suit (mostly directed towards Harpers Bazaar and Vogue Paris, which I pick up regularly).

  2. About effin’ time. But that doesn’t mean that I would buy Vogue again after kanye/kim cover. the magazine has become a joke.
