A year after her mesmerizing appearance with Abbey Lee Kershaw, Catherine McNeil is the cover star of the Vogue Australia’s September issue that births yet another unforgettable editorial shot by Max Doyle (The Names Agency). Going back to the 1950s, Catherine is a mix of naughty, nice and everything in between in Doyle’s Pretty Baby. Styled by Naomi Smith, the Aussie beauty dons garments from Givenchy, Christopher Kane, Louis Vuitton and more that mix retro modesty with modern allure.

The location shots are good. It tells some kind of story. The studio shots are, well, for window shoppers. "She looks gorgeous," is not a good excuse to shoot an editorial.

This makes me sad… Cathrine is amazing..
Max Doyle along with Vogue Australia disappoint again….
I like the greaser 50's rocking roll thing with the guys but whats with the location? (rock'n'rollers in the 50's did not tag!)
And the studio shots are boring…
Max once again you have been given all the tools to shoot something great and once again you let Australia down…

Pin-Ups! Love it. 50's fashion has a cult following for sure…very excited for it to be coming back into the mainstream.
I agree with Magnus….the studio shots were a bit disappointing, locations are great though.
Oh and that first shot, the leopard and the polka dots…gorgeous.

i love creepers so much

The fact that the chucks and creepers used in this shoot are brand spankin' new is just sooo ridiculous to me! No badass keeps his/her shoes in pristine condition! No way would these dudes' kicks be so squeaky clean if they were in fact "up to no good." Everybody looks to clean and for the mood this editorial's trying to create, that just does not work!

You people need to lighten up a little. The shoot is fantasy, stop bugging about authentic locations, squeaky clean shoes and graffiti. It's all about good vibrations. I see this and I feel good vibrations. Makes me want to buy my boyfriend a leather jacket and a switchblade comb and go out dancing. There aren't many fashion stories in this country that make you want to dream. Thanks Vogue.

Boring, agree with Sophie. Max Doyle is an embarassment to Vogue Australia.

Max Doyle did not deliver! he had everything on his side but his own ability to produce great work.

Max Doyle, you are given the best team – not to mention one of the world's current top models.. and this is all you can come up with?
