Minimalist gone maximalist can be the description used for Jil Sander’s fall 2011 collection which followed in the vein of spring’s couture shapes and bold hues. Fall seemed a bit more sporty, however, with sweater knits and more sleek silhouettes inspired by Diane Arbus and 1950s ski-wear. Models walked down the catwalk with slicked back hair, red lips and blue eyeshadow for a showing of understated elegance.

its interesting. i liked some of the pieces but wasn’t a fan of the blue eyeshadow and slicked back hair. maybe sleek pontails would have better w/ just natural looking makeup?
