Proenza’s Strict Spring – Proenza Schouler designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough took their contemporary lady in a more button-up yet revealing direction for the spring 2012 season. The duo’s collection featured midriff baring cuts, 40s inspired silhouettes and a mix of stripe and floral prints. Strong shoulders paired with mussed hair and modest makeup told a story of a strength and femininity for the new season.

Its worse than their previous collections. I don’t feelit at all
I love most of the shapes, but I hate the prints. It is creative and
innovative – as I expect from them – but it doesn’t appeal to me
aesthetically. Too much kitsch. I don’t even like the bags, and I
usually lust after them.

The simple silhouettes are nice but I’m not sure I’m liking the combination of lime and zebra…? It’s a little too kitschy.
