Prada’s New Retro Spring – Miuccia Prada once again delivered retro glam–this time of the 50s variety–for the spring 2012 collection of Prada shown on Thursday. Models walked down the runway with classic silhouettes made fresh again with boxier shoulders, automobile prints, flame motifs and crystal adorned belts. Spring jackets and one piece swimwear also made an appearance on the catwalk as well as big jewelry and accessories in the form of drop earrings and heavy necklaces.

    • Although I don’t really love these flame prints, Prada herself talked about mixing some of Italian men’s source of inspiration – cars.. they usually have such prints. Agree with the hair and makeup..

  1. The coats are WAY too big and the prints far too kitschy.  Also, she made my favorite model (Guinevere Van Seenus) look like the ugliest person in the world – why would she do THAT?!?!?!

  2. Great production, loved the show.  Models looked slightly manly with the exception of Jasmine Tookes.  She is heating up the runways this season. Stunning.
