They Were Here – Photographer Deborah Turbeville and fashion director Valentina Ilardi-Martin are inspired by the classic era and lavish decor for their most recent collaboration published in Grey Magazine’s fall-winter issue. Starring Rose Smith, Tali Lennox and Caterina Ravaglia, the images take a look at autumn collections from the likes of Viktor & Rolf, Moschino, Stella McCartney and Lanvin with a shaded view.
I feel like this is missing some of that Deborah Turbeville romance that I have come to expect..maybe she switched to digital?
Something is off…
I love the vibe here– I’m getting Genet’s “The Maids” from this. Almost wish this were a short film. Is there moving footage?
I understand that the whole point of this is the fuzzy, romantic effect on the photos, but I just want to see Caterina’s beautiful face clearly.
Hauntingly beautiful (I only wish there was more).
This is beautiful!

These pictures are very difficult to look at hungover
too blurry, its like someone with the shakes was holding the camera.
STYLE DECORUM
Reminds me of the Korean film A Tale of Two Sisters…or The Others. I like the photography and mood…but yeah, can’t really see the clothes.
