The art of tradition stands out with part one of Dolce & Gabbana’s fall-winter 2020 campaign. Model Chiara Scelsi appears in cinematic, black and white images captured by Francesco Finizio. Channeling nostalgia and Italian craftsmanship, photos are set on location in Custonaci, Sicily. Throughout the portraits, we see tailors, shoemakers, goldsmiths, and pasta makers. Chiara, who has previously appeared in makeup, eyewear, and ready-to-wear ads for the brand, evokes serious star power. “The depth of the light and dark, with its two-tone shades, is highlighted by the encounter between poetic shots and scenarios of everyday life, which gives the pictures a warm and familiar character,” Dolce & Gabbana reveals.
